Rise Above!

Hi People,

Phew! finally I got time to write. I had been struggling to find time out of my busy schedule of home-office-home to write this blog. And finally today, I called in Sick in my office, sent my husband to work , made a cup of tea for myself and setup to write this blog. :P

Clearly shows how excited I am regarding this pretty write of mine, mainly because it is nothing like my other blog which is about travel stories and recipes, It is about my own funny feelings. And you know what this is one of my secret project, My husband, family , friends aren't aware of this blog of mine. Just wanted to get some real audience , the one s who are really interested in reading my post rather than the ones you send links to :)

Moving on...The topic I want to share with you today is Rise Above, yupp just those 2 simple words can create so much change in your life.

The message is just ignore the petty things, talks , people who make you sad, irritated and frustrated.
These things people etc will only do you harm in the longer run. In our day to day lives we come across different kinds of people, some are pleasing , having a positive attitude towards life while on the other hand some are just full of jealousy , frustration, depression , complaints etc. Make sure you spend time with the first category people one and ignore the latter.

Sometimes you will face a situation where you would not be able to ignore those people, they maybe a part of your professional team , family etc. In that case, let them speak out whatever they want to, don't react and droop to their petty levels of stupidity. When they finish, take a break, some deep breaths and then give a subtle reply so as the conversation does not extends too much, because the more you indulge in conversations with such people, the more you make a fool of yourself.

I had the same feelings with one of my colleague and a couple of relatives who would just indulge in either cribbing about others, being negative about the world or saying meaningless things to me. I used to get angry and frustrated at the same time but then, I learned to ignore, I would listen but pay no attention, I would say hmmm.. but do whatever I felt is right. and slowly they came to know that I am not as shallow as them and distanced themselves.

Great people are those who do not let the noise of their surroundings hamper their internal peace.
Do you think the great minds like Gandhi, Vivekananda, Dr Kalam and many more didn't have distractions and negative people around them, sure they did but they made sure to Rise above the miniature meaningless arguments and became world renowned personalities.

My travel experiences have taught me some life lessons as well, you know when you are about to take a flight and you find thick dark grey clouds everywhere, half of you excitement dies, you feel that the trip is not gonna be good, but as the plane takes off, you find it slowly rises above the grey clouds and then steadily you find that there is clear blue sky which you clearly missed standing on the ground and plenty of sunshine. :) The fact is the sun and the good energy is always there, just hidden behind some grey clouds, thunder and lightening. Once you make your way above them, there is hope and happiness everywhere.

This is what I wanted to convey, if there is something or somebody who bothers you, irritates you or frustrates you make sure you Rise Above their levels. Ignore such things, make distance from those people, surround yourself with good books, people and energy and then you will realize that you were such a fool that you were even considering those things.

Life is too short to spend cribbing about unimportant things and people, spend your life happily because happy mind gives birth to happy thoughts and which then turns to happy body and happy life.

On this note, Cheerios!! I will write soon again with a new topic, a new learning a new message.

Taaa..
