Carpe Diem!

Carpe Diem means "Seize the day" we all must have heard of this term while growing up, but never really realized the importance of it until came under situation where we really needed to "Carpe Diem"
It is true that our ancestors were far more wiser than we are. The terms, idioms, sayings they have invented are definitely worth a hundred million.

We often complain that we are short of time and procrastinate things to tomorrow. Whether it be doing you daily job or simply things like calling your parents, getting in touch with your friends or even hugging your partner tight.

I loved my dad, more than any possible thing in this universe but I was young, teen aged and never realized I should tell him. I used to think that i'll let him know when i'll grow up. I will buy  him presents, call him on his birthday and he'll be happy. And before any of that could happen, he left us. All of a sudden, without any trace of hint in a tragic road accident. And all those things which I wanted to tell/express left buried inside. I never asked him what does he want from me, what are his expectations from me as a family member, not a single word. Now all that I have left with me is his smiles, my wonderful childhood memories and a great family.
That was a lesson learnt, and thereafter I have possibly never missed a chance to say or do anything which I can do at the same moment. I am still learning but will get there.

Hence this is the message I want to convey today, just say, do , write whatever you want to do today itself! Because future is evil, it may or may not come.

I by-hearted this poem when I was young to recite in the school assembly and as mentioned , didn't realize how powerful message it sends through. I am quoting it below, not sure who the author is or even what the title is. Forgive me for that.

Here's the poem.

"We may never see tomorrow,
there is no written guarantee.
And things that happened yesterday,
belong to history.
We cannot predict the future,
we cannot change the past,
we just have the present moment,
we must treat it at our last.
We must treat the moment wisely,
for it soon may pass away,
and be lost to us forever
as a part of yesterday.
We must excise compassion,
help the fallen to their feet,
be a friend to the friendless,
make an empty life complete.
The unkind things that we do today,
may never be undone.
And the friends that we fail to win,
may never be won.
We may not have another chance on bended knees to pray,
so we must thank god with humble heart
for giving us Today!"

Ciao my dear readers.. I love you guys too :)
